How it works

I am in the process of making dollies to take to the children I will be meeting on the World Vision Tanzania Volunteer Trip in September 2016. I’m asking friends to ‘sponsor’ a dolly for $20.00.
The doll’s are hand made by me, some will have embroidered faces and, as we will be visiting some Muslim communities I have also been making what I hope are appropriate dolls for the Muslim children.
They not only have a heart to show we care, but proudly display a Canadian flag on the back.
How it works -
If you would like to participate by ‘sponsoring’ a dolly, or even just making a donation, you can e-transfer the money to me through your bank or donate through the PayPal button located on my blog at :http://mymissionsa.blogspot.ca/
If you wish you can let me know which type of doll you’d like and if you prefer a boy or a girl. If you would like, I can attach a small gift card where I will be able to write a short message from you to the child.
I can also email you a picture or pictures of your dolls if you wish.
Thank-you in advance or your support.

New letter & Pictures

I was so stoked last night writing to the other volunteers that I never got around to scanning the pictures I received on Friday from Nikki or mention the 4 page letter! To long to scan that into here, but it was so great and then to top it off, his mother also wrote a 2 page letter to me. How special! I feel so touched and so grateful whenever I receive a letter that I almost cry. Silly I know, but it just touches something so deep inside me. I had sent some packages last summer of hats and bags and things I had crocheted which they received early Dec. They wrote back on Dec 14th and it took this long to get here. It's nice to see Nikki's mother & grandmother in the pictures, especially as the one with the t-shirts of Nikki and his Granny got lost along the way somewhere. They sent 4 pictures, but I have only scanned in 2, so here they are... the first is the family with Mom, Nikki is wearing a sweater I made for him and the others are wearing the hats and showing the wash cloths and bags. Second picture is Nikki, family & Granny.
